The glamour side of hockey gets the majority of the publicity but this documentary film will give you a behind the scenes look at a hockey player's off-season and what it really takes to become a pro hockey player. The early morning workouts, the intense dry-land training, the on-ice training and the battle to stay mentally sharp.

The story focuses on eight players from three different levels of hockey, the NHL, minor league hockey and major junior hockey. The NHLer's include Bob Boughner an 11 year NHL veteran and Andy Delmore, a 5 year NHL veteran. The minor leaguers include Dan Jancevski, a 4 year AHL veteran and Dave Liffiton, a 1 year AHL/ECHL veteran. The major junior players include Scott Lehman (St. Mike's Majors), Jonathan Sciacca (Windsor Spitfires), Aaron Snow (Brampton Battalion), and Parker Van Buskirk ( Sarnia Sting ). All the players are at different stages of their hockey development but together they will train with Maggio to achieve their goal, making it to the NHL.

Watch as Maggio puts the guys through their summer paces. During the training, they are accompanied by other NHL/minor league players that make cameo appearances in the gym, at the track and on the ice including Steve Ott, Tim Gleason, Kyle Wellwood and former NHL coach Tom Webster).
